Head to Goliad and celebrate the victory of Gen. Zaragoza over French forces at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Visit with living historians and re-enactors.

4. Warriors Weekend Field of Honor Saturday, May 5

Warrior’s Weekend will post flags at the Field of Honor on Saturday, May 5th beginning at 9 a.m. until completion. Volunteers of all ages and groups welcome to assist.

5. Baggin’ and Braggin’ Cornhole Tournament Saturday, May 5

Golden Crescent Habitat Young Professionals is hosting its Cornhole Tournament to raise funds to support Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity’s mission to end poverty housing. No cover to attend the event. Live music. Children and pets welcome. Bring your friends and family to cheer you on!

Gulf Bend Center’s 2nd Annual “Shine the Light” on Mental Health and Suicide Walk & Resource Fair is set for Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Special Events Area in Riverside Park. With this walk, we aim to raise awareness about mental illness and suicide. This will be a fun filled event to educate and bring awareness to our community!
