2. Launch: A Journey Into Space – Grand Opening Saturday, Apr. 28 Rescheduled now for Tuesday, May 1

Visit the Children’s Museum and enjoy a new interactive exhibit that gives children the opportunity to step inside the world of NASA! The exhibit features great hands-on displays with actual space artifacts on loan from the Johnson Space Center in Houston.

3. VFS presents Oh Lucy! Friday, Apr. 27

The Victoria Film Society presents “Oh Lucy” (2017), directed by Atsuko Hirayanagi, a film about a lonely woman living in Tokyo, who decides to take an English class where she discovers her alter ego, Lucy.

4. Downtown Goliad Style Show Saturday, Apr. 28

Goliad Main Street presents the Downtown Goliad Style Show. Get the first look at the latest fashion trends. The lineup includes Lily Grace Boutiques, Tia’s on the Square, The Carriage House, Square Gallery, Hanging Tree Antiques, from The Ivy Vine: Remember When and from The Looking Glass: Rodeo Gypsy. There will be light appetizers provided by Downtown Restaurants: Blue Quail Deli, Rudy’s on the Run, Empresario Restaurant, and Mattie’s Bakery and Cafe. Enjoy live music and a cash bar.

6. POC Crawfish Fest & Cookoff  Saturday, Apr. 28

The Annual Crawfish Festival will take place on King Fisher Beach here in Port O’Connor. There will be live music, a crawfish cookoff, crawfish eating contest, vendors, events for kids, and fun for all types and ages. Bring some umbrellas, lawn chairs, or anything else you might want to kick off your beach-going spring.

The 2nd Annual 1,000 Strong 5K Obstacle Challenge Run takes place at our Riverside Park Special Events Area. This is no ordinary 5K Run! There will be 7 surprise physical obstacle courses (that have been created, built and manned by our own local gym teams, trainers, and military recruiters) every quarter mile for you to conquer!
