We’ve heard through the grapevine, the Texas Zoo will be turning the Club Westerner Dance Hall into an Amazon Rainforest Friday night. Attend the 11th annual Wild About Wine and you’ll be entertained and delighted by a wide array of silent and live auction items to the tune of the Legal Limit Band. 2. International Festival

3. VPI: Speakeasy: A Night in Roaring Old Victoria

Step back in time Thursday for a night in roaring old Victoria. Costumes encouraged. This specific speakeasy was organized in place of the Historic Homes tour which was cancelled this year due to Hurricane Harvey. Click here for more information.

5. The 4th Battle for the Monument Fitness Competition

6. La Capilla de la Santisima Trinidad 2018 Annual Jamaica

If you’re Catholic or just curious, the annual Jamaica at La Capilla de la Santisima Trinidad on Sunday may the be spot for you on Sunday. Enjoy and engage with a lively Catholic community eager to welcome those who wish to learn about their faith, culture and traditions. Bell has appeared in The New York Times, Tin House, Conjunctions, Fairy Tale Review, American Short Fiction and many other publications.
