1.Victoria TX Indie Film Fest

The Victoria TX Indie Film Fest returns to downtown Victoria with 80 films from 12 countries with directors, actors and filmmakers in attendance. Wristbands, VIP badges and individual tickets are available for purchase. This year’s celebrity guests include Paz de La Huerta, Rory Cochrane, Carty Talkington, Wendy McColm and Will Brittain. 2. Polo at McFaddin

We know there’s a bunch of stuff to do on Saturday already but if you have a taste for elegance and big hats, Polo at McFaddin may be where you want to be this weekend. A benefit for the Nave Museum, Polo is an event featuring a community-sponsored tailgate with a variety of goodies that would delight any foodie. It is a drive, so plan to caravan if needed. Bring your folding chairs and Yeti cups. The dress is “chic country elegant,” so pearls and boots. The live auction is usually fantastic, in the past bidders have won chicken coops, jewelry, art work and handmade goods. Go here for more info.

3. Come Your Way Gala

Dress up in your favorite costume or cocktail dress (even though it’s not Halloween) and support the Victoria County United Way at the Victoria Country Club. They’re bringing back the band, “Good Time Muffin” and will again have fabulous hors d’oeuvres by special caterers. Click here for tickets. The Victoria County United Way works to advance the common good within the crossroads area (VIctoria, DeWitt, Goliad, Refugio and Lavaca counties) by creating opportunities for a better life for all. 4. Victoria Jazz Festival

Find your way to the VISD Fine Arts Center Saturday and be delighted with music by 20 high school jazz ensembles and Hollywood talent Wayne Bergeron. Bergeron, a Connecticut native, has worked on over 400 television and motion picture soundtracks including: Moana, Toy Story 3, Dreamgirls and several other films. Go here for more info.

5. 8th Annual Chick-fil-A Young Like Victoria 5K/10K

Sub your morning workout routine with the 8th Annual Chick-fil-A Young Life Victoria 5K/10K. Bring the kiddos and they can compete in the Running of the Calves Kids Fun Run. Young Life,  a non-denominational Christian ministry committed to making a positive difference in the lives of kids through the friendship and influence of caring adults, was founded in 1941. Young Life’s mission is introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.​ Go here for more info.

 

6. Greener Acres Market Days

Get your Spring cleaning done early this week so you can make room for more decor in your home. The Greener Acres Market Days will have free range junk’n featuring produce, cottage foods, clothing and food trucks. There will also be family-friendly entertainment and activities. Free! 7. Wednesday – SHE women’s event at the Victory Christian Life Center

If you can’t make it to the Free Range Junk’n on Saturday, Wednesday may be your best bet with the SHE Trading Post at the Victoria Christian Life Center. Bring a dish if you like, child care will be provided.  Go here for more info.

8. DOC PAC Rummage sale

Check out this rummage sale benefitting the Dorothy O’Connor Pet Adoption Center. The Dorothy H. O’Connor Pet Adoption Center provides homeless animals a caring environment with the purpose of the adoption of dogs and cats into their own loving homes. Go here for more info.

9. Combined Jazz Concert

Today! Enjoy a free concert courtesy of the Crossroads Jazz Ensemble and jazz ensembles from Victoria East and Victoria West high schools. Go here for more info.

10. Bingo and Polka Night

Why not go out on the town on a  Thursday night to benefit a good cause? Golden Crescent Court Appointed Special Advocates is hosting a Bingo and Polka Night. Go here for more info.
